Service Description

Shiatsu is a therapy that considers the body as a whole. When we suffer high levels of stress, it triggers a cascade of physiological changes, and we suffer sore muscles, digestive problems, hiatal hernia, constipation, hair loss, insomnia, depression, etc. Shiatsu regulates the Sympathetic Nervous System and reduces the levels of cortisol. A Shiatsu massage session typically involves being fully clothed and lying on a massage table. The therapist uses their hands, fingers or elbows to apply pressure to specific points on the body, aiming to relieve tension and rebalance energy flow. It's a deep, intense treatment involving pressing, tapping, and stretching. You may be asked to change positions to allow the therapist access to different parts of the body. Communication: It's important to communicate with the therapist if you experience any pain or discomfort. Important Considerations: No oils: Shiatsu does not use oils or lotions. Accessibility: This massage is suitable for people with mobility issues or those who prefer not to be unclothed. Safety: It is important to inform your therapist about any medical conditions you may have. Individualized treatment: Each Shiatsu session is unique and adapted to the client's specific needs. After the session: Hydration: You'll be encouraged to drink plenty of water to help your system adjust to the treatment. Rest: It's recommended to take it easy for the rest of the day. Possible soreness: Some people may experience mild soreness after the session, especially if there was a lot of muscle tension. Increased vitality: You may feel invigorated and relaxed after the treatment.
